What is so captivating about Leigh Glover's landscapes is that this London painter makes it appear so effortless. The lively contrast of colours in his outdoor scenes draws the viewer into the layers and one feels as though the trees are there to slip behind, especially in the seasonal views of Holland Park. The distance of the peak in the View from Grizedale Pike reduces the accessibility, but the colours and textures more than make up for this. Leigh Glover is currently receiving accolades for his portraiture, but his landscapes must not go unnoticed. (Sabine7)

Selected to exhibit at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, 1st October 2007
Within just a few months of completing his Diploma in Portrait Painting in 2007 at Heatherley's School of Fine Art in Chelsea, London, one of Leigh's paintings ("Sonya" - go to Portraits) was accepted for exhibition by the prestigious Royal Institute of Oil Painters. It is an early accolade for a promising and up-and-coming new artist. The Royal Institute of Oil Painters exhibition is from 31 October to 11 November at the Mall Galleries, The Mall, London (just off Trafalgar Square).
